12/31/2021. I had a bad night last night with a horrid headache 🤕 I arrived at Sutter Health urgent care at 7:30 🕢 am. The facility didn’t open until 8:00 🕗 am & it was freezing cold 🥶 in the car. Eventually the tech came out, took my vitals and tested me for strep throat & COVID! I tested positive for COVID 😭😭😭. I spent the rest of the day in bed. Fortunately I have a big stash of Imitrex and that is relieving my headache 🤕!
12/30/2021. I still have a sore throat. I did major updates to the FF web site & set up 529’s for my great niece & nephew!
12/29/2021. The husband took me for a walk around the ‘hood today during the rain 🌧 break. We had our regular Zoom meeting with our sister / sister-in-law. I washed clothes & FT’d with my sister. My brother-in-law is feeling much better today 👍👍👍! I have a sore throat, but no other symptoms. I’m watching an interesting Norwegian TV series called Beforeigners (with subtitles). It’s about the modern day when people from other time periods start inexplicably appearing in the sea & how society attempts to integrate them!
12/28/2021. Today my sister called at 9 am to let us know that my brother-in-law tested positive for COVID 😩! So I canceled my dentist 🦷 appointment, the house cleaners, and of course dancing. I ordered enough food at Wal-Mart pick up to get us through & we picked it up. I rested & cleaned up my e-mail.
12/27/2021. We got our breakfast 🍳🧇🥞 & ate it in our room! The dining area was very crowded & it didn’t appear that people were following COVID distancing ☹️! We got gas ⛽️ & the husband took me to White House Black Market to shop 🛍. I scored 2 pairs of jeans 👖 for under $100 🎉🎊! We drove home with very little traffic or rain 🌧. We made it in 3 hours. We both unpacked. We had a short walk around the ‘hood.
12/26/2021. We went over to the nieces house. She made chili, asparagus, & delicious 😋 cornbread. We talked & played a game, very fun!
12/25/2021. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🌟! We got our breakfast 🥞 & came back & rested. We tested ourselves for Covid, & both tested negative 🎉🎊! Then we went to our nieces house to open presents 🎁. We received lots of wonderful gifts. My niece made chicken Marsala which everyone loves! Of course there were cookies 🍪, brownies, fudge, & Sees candy to (over) snack on all day! The husband worked on a 1000 piece puzzle and I got to visit with the family & feed bananas 🍌 to Tazzy!

12/24/2021. I got up, packed. We did not encounter much traffic or rain 🌧 & made it to town in about 3 hours 15 minutes, 160 miles. On the way, I said my prayers 🙏. We drove to the sister’s house & dropped off the presents. Then we checked into our nice hotel 🏨, shopped at the Nugget market, & spent a quiet Christmas Eve 🎄🌟!
12/23/2021. The husband took me for a nice walk around the ‘hood. I was in full blast 💥 mode today: created a Christmas 🎄 poem & sent it out, wrapped 20 presents 🎁, washed clothes, wrote up instructions for our wonderful cat 🐱 sitter, watered my plants 🪴, & backed up the computer 💻! Whew! I also FT’d my sister.
12/22/2021. I FT’d my sister early this am to let her know of my decision. We had a Zoom call 📞 with our sister /sister-in-law. I had a nice shower 🚿 🧼 , studied the Plus calls & attended club. I danced well. A lot of folks were all decked out in holiday garb, very fun!
12/21/2021. The husband took me for a nice walk around the 'hood today. We had our Zoom meeting with our CPA. My sister announced that we all have to self-test; there are NO self-test kits available in the bay area. The husband and I ran around to several pharmacies where availability was shown on-line & I also called additional pharmacies. NADA! Late this evening I decided that I'm not going to attend the Christmas Eve party; I think this is for the best and I'm very comfortable with this decision. There will be 21 people at the party, too much for me!

12/20/2021. I walked with our hiking group in the morning at Rancho San Antonio (4.5 miles) then we had a wonderful coffee at Pete's. I did some banking & shopped at TJ's. I had a nice shower 🚿🧼 and saw my dentist 🦷. Unfortunately, the tooth still doesn't match! I visited my wonderful hairdresser 💇♀️ & the case of Any's Chili arrived. The husband finished his 1,000 piece puzzle and I napped!

12/19/2021. What a day! Carlos Marin of Il Divo passed away today. That is so very sad as he was a wonderful singer.
First, Quicken wouldn't sync. After three hours of investigation, I finally figured it out. By that time, it was time to get ready to square dancing with Quads. It was great, even though I was a bit rusty. Then on the way out of the dark parking lot, I apparently hit my undercarriage and a big piece fell off.
I reviewed the data for our tax appointment and attempted to scan it it. I couldn't get Control Center 4 to interface with one of my printers and the dear husband scanned the entire document in for me.

12/18/2021. The husband took me for a longer walk around the ‘hood & I said all my prayers. I filled out the organizer; I will check it over tomorrow then scan it. It’s very cold 🥶 today & our home is nice & warm! The husband cooked a delicious 😋 lentil, vegetable soup 🍲, & tofu dish! I ordered some Amy’s chili on-line; unfortunately, TJ’s is out.

12/16/2021. Our wonderful cleaners came today & the house 🏡 looks great. I watered all the indoor plants 🪴. The husband & I shopped at Costco. I worked on taxes again. I washed the supplies used by the cleaners & also washed clothes.
12/15/2021. The husband & I shopped at TJ’s. I scored some Italian crackers that I’m going to give out for presents! I worked on taxes & filing. I had a lovely shower 🚿 🧼. I studied the square dance calls & danced at the club tonight. It was great fun! I surprised myself at how well I did considering all the time I was off due to my injured 🤕 knee, 4 weeks since the injury on November 17th.

12/10/2021. The husband took me for a walk around the ‘hood. I paid the property taxes & started organizing 10 months of bills. Amazingly, I think I found them all. I FT’d with my sister.
12/09/2021. The husband & I had a walk around the ‘hood at dusk. It was very cold 🥶 & fun to see all the Christmas lights.
12/08/2021. The husband took me for a walk around the ‘hood, the longest walk I’ve taken since my accident. We had a Zoom call with our sister / sister-in-law then we went to Costco for gas ⛽️ & shopping 🛒. We then wheeled the Christmas 🎄 tree out of the garage & plugged it in! It looks great! I shopped at an Asian food store to purchase hot chili 🌶 oil to deter squirrels 🐿. They’ve chewed on a lot of our drip 💧 irrigation lines & emitters 🤬🤬🤬. I also stopped in at Cost Plus to shop, but didn’t find anything. I did a minor update to the FF web site.
12/07/2021. Our wonderful cat 🐱 sitter came to visit Pebbles & Cassie who hid & could not be coaxed out 😹😹😹! I FT’d with my sister.

12/06/2021. Our wonderful cleaning 🧼 🧹 peeps came today & the house looks great 👍! I had a nice shower 🚿 🧼 watered all the indoor plants 🪴. The husband & I shopped at Wal-Mart. I did some returns & bought 20 flashlights 🔦 for presents 🎁. We waited at least 20 minutes for the Wal-Mart associate to unlock the case. The husband wasn’t happy. You get 2 of 3 things: price, service, or quality, never all 3! We bought some food at TJ’s & some chocolates 🍫 for presents. I laundered all the items from our cleaning day.
12/05/2021. I sent off the final dance announcement for publication & completed the last two cc receipts 🎉🎊! I watered the phalaenopsis orchids.
12/04/2021. I attended the Bows & Beaus meeting and continued to work on the end of the year flyer. The husband and I shopped at Costco. I scored Terra Chips vegetable chips on sale, Costco size of course, but ate too many 😀!
12/03/2021. I finished two statements, updated the financials, and now have 2 more to do. The husband & I shopped at Wal-Mart; unfortunately, they were out of some of the things on our list. I ordered one of them from Amazon. I worked on the end of the year flyer for Bows & Beaus.
12/02/2021. I visited my wonderful dentist, Dr. R. Wayne Martin, to get my crown installed. Unfortunately, it still is not the correct color. I shopped at Safeway & Petco. The husband & I did 3 cc receipts. The gardeners replaced one of the drippers that the squirrels gnawed on 🤬. I FT'd with my sister. I transferred files to several devices & backed them up.
12/01/2021. We had a phone call with our sister/sister-in-law. Her WIFI is down and she's been through many calls with Apple. She has someone over that is helping her now.
Then we had a call with our wonderful financial folks. Unfortunately, the income tax bill this year will not be pretty. I did another two cc receipts. I updated the FF web site.

11/30/2021. The husband took me to see Dr. Elaine Davis today to deal with my toenail. I thought she was going to remove it but instead she trimmed it and now it doesn’t hurt 🎉🎊! We visited Petco to get another litter box for our kitties. I’ve completed two statements now & have three more to do. I FT’d my sister. Unfortunately, my knee really hurt today 🤕.
11/29/2021. I took myself for a walk to the end of the block & back. The husband made delicious vegetarian chili with tofu 😋! The kitties are delightful! Pebbles climbs on the husband’s lap. I FT’d with my sister & had a long conversation with my nephew. He just moved into his new house & has concerns. I think I helped him.
11/28/2021. I visited my wonderful hairdresser 💇🏻♀️ & helped my sister-in-law with her WIFI issue. I updated the FF website, FT’d with my sister, & washed clothes.
11/27/2021. I had a nice shower 🚿 🧼 & walked to the end of the block using only my poles. It was hard, but I did it! Our cousin came over with delicious key lime pie 🥧, homemade of course. It was fantastic 😋😋😋 & it was great to see her!
11/26/2021. The husband & I shopped at Kohl’s & TJ’s, & I shopped on-line. We scored some Black Friday savings 🏦💲! My knee is much better 🎉🎊🥳! I turned the corner yesterday & can get around without a walker! I FT’d my sister also & updated the FF web site.
11/25/2021. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🍂! This is quite a different Thanksgiving from the many we spent with over 40 family members & wild scavenger hunts! The husband took me for a walk with my rollator. My knee has definitely improved! I sent Happy Thanksgiving 🍁 texts also & FT’d with my sister twice.

11/24/2021. I took myself for a stroll around the yard using my rollator. We had a Zoom meeting with our sister /sister-in-law. We also set up our heated cat bed for Cassie & Pebbles and one of them is already taking advantage of it. I sent out the Thanksgiving holiday greetings with pictures of Pebbles & Cassie.
11/23/2021. I hurt today. I updated the books with our Amazon purchases ... it took a while to figure that out.
11/22/2021. This is the 58th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. I remember this day as clearly as if it happened yesterday. JFK dedicated the San Luis Reservoir so many of us felt close to him. I watered the inside plants, FT'd with my sister, and updated the FF website. Pebbles & Cassie are quite rambunctious & delightful. The husband shopped for us at Costco.

11/19/2021. My knee hurts much less today 🎉🎉🎉! I made major updates to the FF web site & FT’d with my sister. The husband made vegetarian tofu chili for dinner 😋!
11/18/2021. The husband brought me to Stanford’s Express Clinic. I had a wonderful doctor 👩🏻⚕️ and she confirmed that there are no breaks🎉🎊🥳! She prescribed a salve which the husband picked up for me. I’m still in a lot of pain. I FT’d with my sister & told her that I would have a lot of time for the next week while I recover. Our wonderful house cleaners came & worked around me. The gardeners also came & I had them pick their own pineapple guavas! I ordered more cat food.
11/17/2021. The husband took me for a great walk around the ‘hood (3.7 miles). I continued on & said my prayers 🙏. We had a Zoom call with our sister/sister-in-law. She loves seeing Pebbles & Cassie! I picked up pineapple guavas to bring to club & I fell! I called the husband to come & help. I fell very hard on the left side of my body hurting my face, rib, and knee 😲! I FT’d my sister to let her know. I’m unable to walk even using a cane so I’m back on my walker & in a LOT of pain. I made an appointment for tomorrow at Stanford’s Express Care clinic in Palo Alto. I’ll call tomorrow morning to make sure they have an x-ray machine available.
11/16/2021. Happy birthday to my Dad in heaven. The husband & I shopped at TJ’s and Costco. I received the 3-1 foot electrical cords & re-configured the landscape lighting plug 🔌 . I showed the husband & he thought it looked good. I got them on sale for $10. It turns out that I only needed one chord, but 1 cord cost $7. 
11/15/2021. I walked with the hiking group at Sierra Azul Preserve (steps = 13.4K steps . It was a difficult climb, straight up! There’s a lime mining quarry in view of the trails.
I came home, ate, & attended my well was physical with Dr. Souvignier. All is well with me. He said he did lose a patient due to COVID-19. He gave me a referral to both podiatry & dermatology.
Then a friend from square dancing came over to work on our class brochure; we couldn’t finish them because she had another appointment. I rested, and she returned later in the evening and we finished the fliers and sent them out.

11/14/2021. I picked up pineapple guavas. I also figured out that my WiFi was dropping out because one of the modules was essentially in a faraday box. It’s taken me 10 months to figure that out. I contrived a fix & ordered supplies for an improved fix. I attended Quads & my dancing was not so good! I talked to my sister on the way to dancing.
11/13/2021. I attended a SCVSDA meeting that went on for five hours 🤪🤪🤪! The husband and I dropped off a gift Poinsettia for our friends then had coffee and a brownie at Peets in downtown Los Altos. We watched two episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm"; I like it but could do without all the foul language 🤬!

11/11/2021. The husband & I shopped at Costco and I FT'd with my sister. The bid for the roof is much higher than expected because there were a lot of issues found. The kitties are delightful! I sent a thank you message out to all my friends who are veterans. I updated the FF web site.
11/10/2021. We installed the new door knob (not as easy as we thought 🤪🤪🤪) & had a Zoom call with our sister / sister-in-law. I watered all the phalaenopsis. I had a nice shower 🚿🧼, picked pineapple guavas, and attended our club's dance (steps = 7.5K). I managed to give away all of the pineapple guavas and some apples.
Cassie & Pebbles are getting increasingly more friendly & approachable. Pebbles rolls on her back so the husband can pet her tummy!

11/09/2021. The husband took me for a walk around the ‘hood (steps = 3.9K). We chatted with some security folks that are also in the ‘hood. I FT’d with my sister; They got an unexpected leak in their roof. The fix will require removing drywall inside their house, spackling, & painting & she is dreading that project, as would I. I did a major update to the FF web site & also updated the financials.
The husband & I bought a new door knob at Ace Hardware. We are delighting in our two little “masters”, Pebbles & Cassie.

11/08/2021. I walked with our group at Rancho San Antonio (steps = 13.7K). Then we had coffee ☕️ at Peet’s, always such a fun 🤩 time! I did some banking & shopped at TJ’s. Today was my Mom’s 103rd birthday 🎂! I miss her every day. I FT’d with my sister. The husband discovered that we couldn’t open the door the the “Danny” shed. Luckily a window 🪟 was cracked open & we were able to get the screen off without damaging it. Once inside, we still couldn’t open the door 🚪. The husband had the smart idea 💡 to remove the hinges. From the outside, I banged on the door with a hammer 🔨 protecting the door with a pice of wood 🪵. We finally managed to get it open by completely removing the defective door knob. Then we settled down to watch TV and discovered that the phones 📞, internet, and TV 📺 we’re all down (Comcast). They didn’t come back up until 1:30 am.

11/06/2021. The husband & I had a lovely walk in the hills (steps = 6.9K). Then we stopped at Le Boulanger for coffee ☕️ & bread 🥖. I thoroughly cleaned the sink drainer & it badly needed it & also washed out all the saucers. I plan to put water in them for the squirrels.
Pebbles & Cassie are delightful. This evening they ran around chasing each other then collapsed into their bins in the craft room 😂.

11/05/2021. The husband & I shopped at TJ's and I shopped at Petco to get Pebbles & Cassie more food. I also updated the low phosphorus spreadsheet. Jose Jr. came by to look at the leaking backflow device. It may not be leaking at all: that's the way it's supposed to work. We'll keep an eye on it. The husband made wonderful vegetarian chili with tofu 😋😋😋 and I had a great salad too!

11/04/2021. I had a nice shower 🚿🧼. I watered all the indoor plants. The wonderful cleaners came & I gave them apples 🍏. The landscapers also arrived with three crew members to clean up the mess from our atmospheric river event. I have them lots of apples too 🍏! The husband and I had coffee and delicious Dutch crunch bread in front of the Italian delicatessen. The kitties are running all over and having a joyful time .
11/03/2021. I had lunch at Hobees with my long time friend and gave her some apples 🍏 and the last of the pineapple guavas. We had a Zoom call with our sister / sister-in-law and I danced with the club. I also brought them some apples 🍏. Since I round dance with my partner between tips, I was really tired.

11/02/2021. The husband and I picked the last apple 🍏 tree clean & I also picked pineapple guavas and trimmed plants. I took care of some business and cleaned up Outlook. That was a chore! We are letting Cassie & Pebbles roam around the house with all the doors closed so we can easily find them. They seem to be enjoying it!

11/01/2021. Our hiking group had to cancel because of rain 🌧 ☔️. We got a surprise visit from Jose Sr, so I took him all around the yard. I gave him pineapple guavas & apples 🍏. I saw my dentist 🦷 and had the tooth prepared for a crown. Nothing hurts, but I’m tired. My sister says that it might be my body’s way of dealing with pain & I think she’s right! I watered most of my indoor plants 🪴 & Pebbles sat in my lap this morning.
10/31/2021. We had a Zoom call with our sister / sister in law. We spent the entire time in the crafts room so she could see our delightful kittens! I picked pineapple guavas, had a nice shower 🚿 🧼 and studied the plus calls. I attended Quads, and gave away almost two boxes of pineapple guavas 🎉🎊🥳! The production of the pineapple guavas is slowing way down now.

10/30/2021. We met the husband’s friends for coffee at Le Boulanger. Unfortunately, it was closed so we ran across the street to Starbucks. We had a wonderful visit with them.

10/29/2021. I geo-cached with my partner at Fremont Older Open Space. We found three geocaches 👍👍👍! However, I didn’t get home until 3:30 pm. I studied cat food & bought about 20 cans at Petco. I also stopped at TJ’s to get the husband some ice cream. He was affected by the shot with a slight fever, headache, and upset stomach. By this time I was absolutely exhausted 🥱 🥱 🥱 !

10/28/2021. I saw the dentist 🦷🪥 and unfortunately I will need a crown. I also visited Dr. Vaughan and all is very well there. I stopped at Costco for gas and TJ's for sunflower seeds! The husband got his COVID-19 booster.
We are making progress with Cassie & Pebbles. They are letting us get pretty close to the when we feed them! I watered the phalaenopsis.
10/27/2021. I hiked with the group at Mount Eden & as usual we had a great tine (steps with square dancing = 16.5K) ! We had coffee at Peet’s & celebrated one of our friends’ birthday with coffee ☕️ & fabulous chocolate chip brownies😋😋😋! I studied the Plus calls & danced with the club. My partner & I also round danced every dance between tips, so I was exhausted.
This evening we made progress with Pebbles. She ate while we were in the room with her; she is inching pretty close to us!

10/26/2021. Although we didn’t suffer any damage from the storm, the yard is littered with tree debris. The husband & I shopped at Costco. Our roofer called us on the way to say they would be coming to repair the gutters, reconfigure the gutters, and replace the damaged fascia board. The roofers were here all day. While they were working, I picked up the fallen pineapple guavas and that took several hours. I also trimmed them pack so we can walk in the path. In the evening, I studied the Plus calls & danced at ECR. I saw a lot of my friends there & brought the club a lot of pineapple guavas. I had a wonderful time (steps = 8.7K) & danced well too!

10/25/2021. We cancelled our usual Monday hike due to the storm. Cassie & Pebbles have climbed up to shelves that are 6’ high in the crafts room. We brought a step ladder in so we could see them & we have a chair 🪑 so we can sit in there.They jumped into some plastic containers I have in there. Pebbles is letting us pet her & she purrs, but Cassie hisses at us. I had a lovely shower 🚿 🧼 & visited my wonderful hairdresser.
10/24/2021. I got up this morning & Pebbles & Cassie were no where to be found in the mud room. I began a search of the entire house, not knowing which room they were in. I finally found them in my crafts room. They had climbed over the fence we put up! When the husband got up, we moved the food, water, & litter box in there.
The storm hit, and it was fierce 🌬🌬🌬💨💨💨🌧🌧🌧! Some of the news stations were providing 24 hour coverage. We kept checking in on Cassie & Pebbles. I decided not to dance at Quads because of the storm ⛈! I washed clothes.
10/23/2021. I shopped at TJ's to stock up on food before the arrival of our new kitties. We took our e-waste & recycling to Star One and continued on to Walnut Creek to pick up Cassie & Pebbles. We hit a lot of traffic going in. We met Cassie & Pebbles & adopted them. We placed them in the mud room that we arranged for them. The wonderful adoption agency, Community Concern 4 Cats sent us home with food, their complete medical record & excellent instructions. We put them in the mud room, but would not come out of their carrier! I bought them more food at Pet Food Express because there’s a huge storm predicted for tomorrow. They would not come out of their carrier!
10/22/2021. I shopped at Wal-Mart & picked another box of pineapple guavas. One of the neighbors came by so I gave them two large bags of the pineapple guavas & a tour of the yard. I washed my sheets & sweatshirts. The husband & I are preparing for the arrival of Cassie & Pebbles tomorrow 😻😻😻!
10/21/2021. I prepared for the cleaners, they arrived, and the house looks great. I also got the gardeners to repair a leak in my irrigation system. I FT’d with my sister. I found two little kitties for us and filled out an application. Of course I picked pineapple guavas and managed to give them all away to the cleaners and to the gardeners 🎉🎊🥳! I updated the FF web site.
10/20/2021. We Zoom’d with our sister/sister-in-law. I picked pineapple guavas and studied the square dancing calls. I square danced and gave away all the pineapple guavas 🎉🎊🥳! There was a huge box of them.
10/19/2021. I washed clothes, watered all my indoor plants, accompanied the husband to Lozano's car wash in Sunnyvale to get the Eureka mud off his car. Then we went to PAMF for our yearly flu procedure 💉 and when we were finished, we listened to a wonderful pianist and had a lovely chat with him. I picked another box of pineapple guavas! The husband fixed tofu chili for dinner 😋😋😋!
10/18/2021. I walked with the group at Rancho San Antonio (steps = 16,841!) & we had coffee at Pete's. We always laugh hysterically. I did a bit of banking also. The husband & I drove to Redwood City to fill his car with gas ⛽. Then we shopped at Sports Basement, Kohls, and Dollar Tree. I was exhausted 🥱😴💤! In the evening I washed clothes & updated the FF web site. I reached out to Adobe for help with getting Photoshop Elements installed & succeeded!
10/17/2021. The husband & I walked in the hills and I danced at Quads tonight, great fun! I managed to give away3 boxes of pineapple guavas.

10/16/2021. We shopped at TJ’s, Costco, and picked 3 boxes of pineapple guavas! There are more on the ground to pick up too! I FT’d with my sister & mostly unpacked.
10/15/2021. We packed and left at 10:00 am this morning and stopped off to say goodbye to our friend and to thank him for his hospitality. We stopped off in Willits to visit some more friends, at the Cafe 77. We had not seen them in any years so we visited them for a few hours. We arrived home at 6:30 pm, pretty tired. I walked around the yard and reset a few of my gadgets that had gone off-line.

10/14/2021. We met our friend and walked around Eureka. We visited the historic Eureka Inn, very beautiful & constructed entirely of redwood. I bought chocolates from a chocolatier in town for my neighbor. He showcased them in a beautiful box! The husband got a pizza 🍕 & we strolled the waterfront. It was another beautiful day🌞! The husband & our friend had a malt & a chocolate shake from Fresh Freeze!
10/13/2021. The husband and I trekked over to the Fern Canyon in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. It was over an hour drive and required going through a gravel road with water running through it. It was beautiful; however, at this time of year the walking planks were removed in preparation for winter storms and we had to cross the creek many times on logs. A mis-step meant getting wet hiking boots. After that, we drove over to the Lady Bird Johnson Grove in Redwood National Park. It was amazing, lined with huge old growth redwoods. Afterwards, we ate in the room and my husband visited our friend.
10/12/2021. We slept I until noon today, then had a wonderful walk out near the Elk river with marshlands that led to the ocean (steps =8.7K). We shopped at the North Coast Eureka coop & then ate dinner at the Pho Tien Long restaurant, which served delicious Thai food 🍲!
10/11/2021. I finished packing, watered the phalaenopsis orchids and then we left at 10:45 am. It was a beautiful day 🌞 for a drive. The last part of it was through redwood forests. We arrived in Eureka at 5:03 pm, checked in then visited our friend. It took us 6 hours & 15 minutes. He gave us a tour of his home, a very large home with many rooms. It is over 100 years old and is very nice. His friends, who are also friends of the husband also came to visit & helped us with hiking places. Unfortunately, their brother is near death so they are traveling 🧳 out tomorrow to visit. Then the 3 of us had dinner at Adel’s Restaurant. The food there was wonderful 😋😋😋! I had only eaten Cheerios all day & was starving.

10/10/2021. I dug out some more blackberry plants for my friend, collected more pineapple guavas and took all them to her for distribution at square dancing. She gave me a tour of her beautiful gardens & sent me home with pineapple guava cake. It is absolutely delicious. I watered all the indoor plants. I had a nice shower 🧼🚿. I backed up both my iPhone 📱 & iPad on the new computer 💻 & downloaded a file for our trip.

10/09/2021. I attended the Bows & Beaus meeting, then continued to work on my new computer 💻. I washed clothes & the dryer works perfectly 🎉🎉🎉👍👍👍!
10/08/2021. The husband & I disassembled his sink drain because it was draining so slowly. We cleaned out a lot of gunk from there. We successfully put it back together. Then one of the two laundry room lights went out. Fortunately, it was just a burned out circline bulb 💡 & I had the correct circline bulb on hand. I ordered 3 each of both the small 12” & the large 16” bulbs to keep in stock. I worked on the computer 💻 again.
10/07/2021. I had a nice shower 🚿🧼, watered all the indoor plants & prepared for the cleaners. The cleaners came & our home looks great! Matt also arrived to install the new pully on the dryer. I was up until 5 am working on moving to the new computer 💻. I had a great deal of trouble viewing the “All Mail” folder. Finally a 2nd representative from Dell figured it out 🎉🎉🎉! I picked pineapple guavas and gave four bags away to the cleaners & to the gardeners.
10/06/2021. The husband took me for a nice hike (steps with square dancing = 12.3k) around the ‘hood and I said my prayers 🙏. I studied the plus calls, had a brief nap 😴 and a lovely shower 🚿🧼. I attended square dancing, and round danced with a few different partners. I brought two large baskets 🧺 of pineapple guavas and gave them all away 🎉🎉🎉!
10/05/2021. I backed up my old computer 💻, and transferred all the files to the new one. I also installed several programs that are very important to me and they work! Left to do is to install the .pst files for Outlook. I was up until all hours doing this 🥱🥱🥱!
10/04/2021. I hiked with the group (steps = 11K) in north San Jose and then we had coffee and coffee cake at Panera's. We have such an amazing time. Afterwards, the husband and I shopped at Costco. In the evening our appliance repair person, Matt, returned to try to find the problem with the squeaky dryer. While he didn't find it, he's going to replace the belt. I briefly FT'd my sister.

10/03/2021. The husband & I picked pineapple guavas. I danced with Quads. I brought 4 buckets of pineapples guavas and I managed to give them all away.
10/02/2021. The husband and I drove to Stevens Creek to look at the drought situation. It is absolutely dire! Later, I visited my wonderful hairdresser and got over 2 inches cut off. I FT'd with my sister and the husband and I watched another 2 episodes of that hilarious TV show "Curb Your Enthusiasm". I did a huge update to the FF web site, getting it ready for the November FF.
10/01/2021. Welcome to October! Wow, this year has flown by. I geo-cached with my partner today at Sanborn Park (steps = 10.6K). It was a beautiful day and we found some running streams 💦, a real treat during this drought. The climb to the top is very challenging. The reception was sketchy and we found only 2 of our 4 targeted geo-cache sites.
Afterwards, I stopped at TJ's to get milk and other supplies for us.
