04/12/2026. We drove home and the drive was very easy. When I got home I discovered that my iPad was missing. We search high and low for it to no avail 😩😩😩! I called the hotel but they said that if it was left there it’s locked in the office and could not be accessed until tomorrow.
04/11/2026. Today is the big birthday 🥳🎊🎉🎂🎈🎁 party my sister gave me! She had a full sit down dinner with lasagna, fruit salad, regular salad, lot of hors d’oevres, and of course cakes! It was a fabulous party, the best I’ve ever had!
04/10/2026. I shopped at White House Black Market and found an outfit for my birthday party. We visited with my cousins who are in town for the party too!
04/09/2026. I finished packing and we left for the party. There was a lot of traffic and it took us 3 1/2 hours to arrive. We checked in to our hotel 🏨 and then visited my sister and brother-in-law and the cousins. My sister 👩🏻 prepared a lovely meal for us!
04/08/2026. Happy birthday to me 🥳🎂🎉🎈💐🎊! I received a lot of cards, presents 🎁, e-mails and texts. My sister 👩🏻, cousin, and niece all called me too. I used my new wire brushes that attach to the drill to continue scrubbing our fountains⛲️. They are looking pretty clean! It was a great day. I danced at Club and drove my friend home. I watered the phaleonopsis orchids.
04/07/2026. I watered the indoor plants and prepared the house for the cleaners. I had a nice shower 🚿🧼. The cleaning folks came and the house looks great! I washed a huge load of clothes. I also continued to scrub the outside fountains ⛲️.
04/06/2026. I scrubbed the outside fountains ⛲️ again. We are getting there! I paid all the tax bills 💵. I also put together the luggage 🧳 racks that I purchased. They are all wood and quite sturdy!
04/05/2026. Happy Easter 🐣 and happy birthday 🎊🎈🎉🎁🥳🎂 to my friend. I send out Easter texts and scrubbed the fountains ⛲️ with the wire brush I recently acquired. It did an excellent job, but is very tiring. I just ordered some wire brushes that attach to our drill so we’ll see how that works. I FT’d with my sister 👩🏻.

04/01/2026. Happy April Fools’s day 🃏! I sent out my usual prank and unfortunately the prank was easily guessed. Our cousin from Utah visited and took us out to lunch at Hobees. Then we came here to give him a tour of our yard. We had a wonderful visit!

03/28/2026. We attended the memorial dinner of a friend of ours. There were over 70 people there and 10 dishes were served, all very high end, such as Peking duck, etc. I got to catch up with a lot of folks with whom I worked.

03/25/2026. We got ready for the cleaners, I watered all the indoor plants and had a nice shower 🚿🧼. The house looks great. I studied the Plus calls and attended club. Due to my “contusion” I had not danced in about 4 weeks. But I did OK. I drove a friend home afterwards.

03/24/2026. Today the husband decided to reorganize the TV 📺 room. It did not go well. Ultimately, he decided to return to the original configuration. I had to call a neighbor over to help him lift the very heavy cabinet back into place.

We finished our trust and will make an appointment to sign.

I corrected it and uploaded the corrected data. I called Quicken but did not really get a clear answer to my question. I also watered the phaleonopsis.

02/26/2026. I finished the taxes and the husband scanned them all in. We uploaded everything today, found an error and uploaded the package again.
02/25/2026. I was a “square-head” at club today so I attended early. We were also able to leave early which was great because I feel a head cold coming on. I worked on taxes again and am finished except for the final check.
02/24/2026. I watered all the indoor plants and had a nice shower 🧼🚿. Our housekeepers visited and the house looks great 👍. I washed the cleaning cloths and mop heads. I worked on taxes.
02/23/2026. I worked on taxes today and am ready to enter everything into the organizer 🎉🎊🥳! For 4 days, I’ve struggled with an Amazon import into Quicken. I called them, but they couldn’t help. Finally, and mainly by trial and error, I figured out a solution. It involved changing the parameter of the program I use to convert files into a Quicken format. I also called T-Mobile to get the rate of my Apple TV subscription lowered.

02/20/2026. The husband played bridge ♦️♣️♥️♠️ today and won! I worked on our taxes. One of my software programs used for taxes stopped working. I worked for hours to try to fix it and was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, when I was cleaning the litter boxes, I slipped! All these slips are very worrisome!
02/19/2026. It’s my great nephew’s birthday 🎂 🎁🎈today. I sent him some text messages and also a cash 💰 gift 🎁. I had a nice shower 🧼🚿. We held our yearly SCVSDA audit meeting today. It is very time consuming to do the audit properly and we did. The books passed. I shopped at Safeway also.
02/18/2026. We had quite the storm activity today including thunder ⚡️⛈️ that shook the whole house! I washed clothes and FT’d with my sister 👩🏻. My side hurt 🤕 again and I watered the phalaeonopsis. Four of them are blooming. The husband played bridge ♠️♥️♣️♦️ with his friends. I studied the Plus calls. However, after doing a few practice dance maneuvers with the husband, I decided to skip dancing. I’m going to apply for a leave of absence.
02/17/2026. My side muscle pull really hurt 🤕 today. I do not know why because it was healing nicely. I had a nice phone call 📱 with a friend who is leaving on a special one week Star Trek cruise 🚢. I FT’d with my sister 👩🏻 and washed clothes. I did some updates to my laptop and sent out a new count for “Top Ten Callers”.

01/16/2026. I prepared a spreadsheet on the ranch expenses, and talked with my sister 👩🏻. Together, we figured out how much money 💰 to split.The husband and I shopped at Costco today. I also called Norton antivirus and State Farm. Two of my policies went up a lot 😲😳!
01/15/2026. I ran lots of errands today. I brought some donations to the Ecumenical Hunger Center. I also brought a huge stack of used ink cartridges to the Office Depot. I shopped at Safeway and picked up a prescription, shopped, and also shopped at TJ’s.

01/13/2026. I finally reached the correct water heater company so that I could update the installation date. I submitted the appropriate paperwork 📋. I got ready for the cleaning folks and unfortunately they surprised us by coming two hours early 😲. I watered the indoor plants. Afterwards I washed all the mopheads and the rags. The last part of the tree project at Pelton was finished today!
01/12/2026. I had a great hike today with friends at Rancho San Antonio (steps = 12.4 K). Afterwards, I banked 🏦, and shopped at TJ’s. It was great to see everyone today!

01/11/2026. Today was a great day 🎉🎊🥳. The husband took me for a very nice walk around the 'hood, no dogs, unfortunately. Then we watched the 49ers 🏈 win against last year's Superbowl winners the Philadelphia Eagles in their stadium. I was also happy that the Buffalo Bills won because their quarterback, Josh Allen, is from a town very close to where I grew up. While I was watching the game, I searched again for the lost plumbing receipt and I FOUND it! Now I can call American Standard Water Heater and get our water heater registered. I FT'd with my sister 👩🏻. She is looking for a hobby and so am I! Our pillowcases arrived from Macy's and I washed and dried them. One of the pairs is a bit small, but we are going to live with it.
01/10/2026. I looked EVERYWHERE for the plumbing receipt from 11/22/2024 to no avail. I started marking the folders that I had already searched. I rested today and texted with my sister.
01/09/2026. I reached out and found a wonderful plumber 👨🏼🔧 to look at our hot water heater. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed thermocouple and was able to procure the part nearby. Moreover, he contacted the manufacturer and we got the part for free, under warranty. The water heater was installed in 11/22/2024, so relatively young water heater. We have HOT water again 🎉🎊🥳, so wonderful. I also wrote a Yelp and a Google review for this plumber.
01/08/2026. It was very, very cold 🥶 today. The hot water stopped working 😟. I believe the gas went out, and we attempted to light the pilot light, However, I didn’t want to take a chance on an explosive accident, so I contacted our plumber 👨🏼🔧. I packed away all the Christmas 🎄 decor and accompanied the husband to the bike 🚲 shop. He had his used “step-through” bike tuned up. When we were there, the proprietor made some adjustments to better accommodate the husband, and it will be a fine bike for him. I wrote a very nice Yelp review for this bike shop. I watered all the indoor plants also.
01/07/2026. We packed up the Christmas 🎄 tree and rolled it back out to the garage. I took down the rest of the ornaments in the house. I had a nice shower 🚿🧼 and studied the Plus calls. I attended club and it was fun 🤩!

01/06/2026. O.G. Landscaping removed the tree limbs from Pelton, sent me pictures and a video, and I paid them. I worked on the financials and discovered 3 missing checks 😣! I did a deep dive of my desk and several other places and found them 🎉🥳🎊! They had arrived in an unusual envelope ✉️ and that’s probably why I didn’t spot them initially. I deposited them.
01/05/2026. I FT’d with my sister 👩🏻; the great niece 👩🏼 arrived safely at college today. She got all “A’s” for her first semester 🎊🎉! My sister continues to plan for my big birthday party 🎊🎉🥳 in April.
The husband and I drove to Campbell to look at a “step through” bike 🚲 for him. He liked it and we purchased it from a private party. He took me to Whole Foods so I could do my Amazon return and both of us got some take out. It rained heavily again today and there were two tornado 🌪️ warnings issued. Fortunately, the tornados 🌪️ didn’t materialize.
I created a “Yelp” project to have the tree limbs removed and I selected the vendor, O.G. Landscaping.

01/03/2026. The husband took me for a nice walk around the ‘hood today (4 dog walk). I labelled some of the Christmas ornaments I received this year with the date and the name of the person who gave them.
We watched the 49ers lose 🏈. It was very sad 😢 , but they were outplayed by the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers defense didn’t show up at all, and they certainly didn’t protect the quarterback. I FT’d with my sister 👩🏻 and she is doing VERY well following her surgery! Our new kitchen floor mat arrived and we both like it.
